Star and Dove would have suited you beautifully. The trio of chefs focus on foods prepared prior to the year 1800 and come up with unusual menus of that nature. Good prices, great food, surprises, nice staff and good beer. It would have been very you.
Went to Bag of Nails. Boozer with pork pies as bar snacks rather than gastropub. Excellent venue. Resident cats, juke box = vinyls, charming and hungover bartender, trivial pursuit and an excellent tonic water with lime rubbed around edges of glass. Quality
Niiiiiiice… Good work comrades! And by the way overdue comment on the awesomeness of your Severn Estuary piece – that was a very cool bit of writing and I admire Tom for getting with the latest trends and photobombing your selfie at one point.
I really should get around to putting up those photos of his #hotdogsorlegs moment then… 🙂
