Goodbye Braunston, hello world

Today we left our winter mooring at Braunston and began our 2014 adventures!

Gathering winter fyoo ooh ell:

Plenty kindling for the journey:

Annual haircut and shave:

Casting aside the trappings of modern life:

Attaching the tiller arm. Begin ignition sequence:

Charts, a world of opportunity lies therein. Where next?

Highly technologically sophisticated control centre:

Leaving the marina, cafe boat in the background:

Nomads once more:

Happy days! Heading roughly towards Birmingham to start with, and then, who knows?

Hi Guys! Happy New Year! Moving off in January is very brave – I think we will make you two ‘Honorary Northerners’. Have fun – hope we cross paths during 2014. We have a bit of a plan – doing the Chesterfield, Trent, Witham, The Wash (scary!) Nene, Great Ouse,Thames (and London rivers) Kennet and Avon – we have invested in a Gold licence to do all this and guess it will take all year. Keep well, best wishes, Charles and Sally
